Graduate Feature: Steve Garnett
We first came across Steve’s work when he entered the FreshMeet Nationwide Degree Show. His project Distracted Driving was beautifully impactful and he easily won a position in the final selection for the billboard spots.
Steve describes himself as “a designer with a strong belief that design can be used to create impact and positive change”, which is evident throughout his portfolio. He expertly partners creative ideas with meaningful designed executions, running the line between Creative and Designer in a way that many creative professionals still struggle with.
After graduating with a first class honours in BA Graphic Design in the summer of 2020, Steve went on to be selected for a D&AD New Blood ‘One to Watch’ award.
Going from strength to strength, he’s now got several internships under his belt and is currently working as a graduate designer at a studio called Spitfire.
Getting to know Steve has been an absolute joy. Both his technical design skills and his strategic creative thinking skills are on point.
He’s found a family with Spitfire Studio for the moment and we’re sure that Steve will go far in this industry in the future.
